Union Bank of India Statement Password
The password to open a Union Bank of India statement is your name plus date of birth on app downloads, or an 8 to 9 digit customer/account number on net banking statements. Worked examples below, then remove the password permanently with the free tool on this page.
Union Bank of India uses two different statement-password formats depending on where the PDF came from. Most emailed and net banking statements use an 8 or 9 digit number, so if you are not sure which one your file uses, try that first, then the name format.
| Where the PDF came from | Password | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Net banking download or emailed e-statement (account number shown masked as XXXX…) | An 8 or 9 digit number: your customer ID or account number, digits only | 49679780 (8 digits) or 619011309 (9 digits) |
| App / Vyom "Download Statement" | First 4 letters of your name in CAPITALS + date of birth in DDMM (day and month, no year) | Rahul Dev, born 1 June: RAHU0106 |
For the numeric format, enter the digits only, no spaces. For the name format: the letters are uppercase, the date is DDMM with no year, and leading zeros stay (1 June is 0106); include any initials in the first 4 letters, so "S. Tamilselvan" starts STAM. Statements you download yourself from net banking are often either the numeric-password kind or not password-protected at all.

Union Bank statement password showing incorrect?
This is the most common Union Bank complaint, usually in the Vyom or Union ease app. Work through these:
- Wrong channel, wrong format. Net banking and emailed statements with a masked account number (XXXX…) usually use an 8 or 9 digit customer ID or account number; app "Download Statement" PDFs use the name + DDMM format. Try the numbers first, then the name.
- Lowercase letters. In the name format the letters must be CAPITALS:
RAHU0106, notrahu0106. - You added the year. The name format uses DDMM only.
RAHU010690fails. - Initials dropped. Include initials in the first 4 letters, exactly as your name appears in bank records.
- Name as per records. The PDF uses the spelling the bank holds, even if it looks wrong. Recently changed your name? Try the first 4 letters of the old name.
- Joint account. Use the primary (first-named) holder's details.
- Numeric password. For the customer/account-number format, enter the digits only with no spaces; type them by hand to avoid a hidden trailing space.
Once the file opens, use the tool above to remove the password permanently: enter it once, download an unlocked copy, and never type it again. Your statement is handled securely.
Frequently asked questions
What is the password of a Union Bank of India statement?
It depends on the channel. Net banking and emailed statements (account number masked as XXXX) usually use an 8 or 9 digit number: your customer ID or account number, like 49679780. App "Download Statement" PDFs use the first 4 letters of your name in capitals plus your date of birth in DDMM instead, like RAHU0106 for Rahul Dev born 1 June (include any initials). Try the numbers first, then the name.
Why does my Union Bank statement password show incorrect?
The most common reason is the wrong format for the channel: net banking and emailed statements with a masked account number use an 8 or 9 digit customer ID or account number, while the name + DDMM format is for app downloads. For the name format, also check that the letters are capitals, the year is not included (DDMM only), and initials are kept. Use the name exactly as Union Bank has it recorded.
Is UBI the same as United Bank of India?
No. This page is Union Bank of India. The former United Bank of India was merged into Punjab National Bank in 2020 and uses PNB formats.
