Axis Bank Statement Download: Every Channel Explained

Axis gives you three years of statements online, an SMS command that emails any date range, and free monthly e-statements. Here is the exact route for each, what you receive, and what to do when the PDF asks for a password.

Quickest: log in to the open by Axis app or internet banking, open Statements (under Accounts or Services), pick the account and period, and download the PDF. Online history goes back 3 years; anything older is a branch request. No app? Send ESTMT <last 5 digits of account> <dd-mm-yyyy> <dd-mm-yyyy> to 56161600 and the statement is emailed to your registered address.

Download the statement from the open by Axis app

The app uses your internet banking credentials, so there is nothing extra to set up.

  1. Open the open by Axis app and log in.
  2. Find the Statements or E-Statements section; Axis places it under Accounts or Services depending on the release.
  3. Choose the account and the statement period.
  4. View the statement on screen or download it as a PDF.

On older app versions the entry point is labelled View Statement inside the account; the rest is the same. Statements for the past three years are available in the app and internet banking; for older periods, visit a branch.

Download the statement from internet banking

  1. Log in to Axis Bank internet banking.
  2. Open Statements. On the older layout this is My Account, then Detailed Account Statement.
  3. Select the account and set the period using the date pickers.
  4. Choose PDF as the format and click Download or Save.

Get a statement for any date range by SMS

Axis is one of the few banks with an SMS command that emails a full statement, which makes it the fastest route when you are away from the app.

  1. From your registered mobile, send ESTMT <last 5 digits of your account number> <from date> <to date> to 56161600, dates in dd-mm-yyyy.
  2. Example from Axis: ESTMT 43521 01-10-2018 20-10-2018.
  3. The statement is sent as a PDF to your registered email address.

For a balance check, send BAL to 56161600 or 9951 860 002. Axis also runs a toll-free missed-call service; the current number is listed on the SMS Banking page in internet banking.

Register for free monthly e-statements

Registering replaces the quarterly printed statement with a monthly PDF by email.

  1. In internet banking, open My Profile, then Contact Details Update, and make sure your email ID is filled in. Registration happens automatically once an email address is on file.
  2. Or send GREEN to 56161600 from your registered mobile.
  3. Or call Phone Banking on 1860 419 5555 or 1860 500 5555, or ask at any branch.

The monthly statement arrives within a week of the following month and is password protected. If you hold several accounts under one customer ID, the first holder receives one consolidated statement. NRI, agri-rural and business customers register with the Customer Request Form from the Downloads tab of Axis’s e-Statements page, submitted at a branch. To go back to paper statements later, visit a branch.

Statement application, ATM and branch

The statement application or request form is only needed for two cases: registering for e-statements as an NRI, agri or business customer (the Customer Request Form above), or asking the branch for a printed statement older than three years. For everything else, the download or the ESTMT SMS is the request.

Axis ATMs can print a mini statement and, at some machines, a full statement: insert your debit card, enter your PIN and look for Statement or Mini Statement. The option is not on every ATM and may carry a fee. WhatsApp banking (7036165000, send Hi) covers most services, but Axis does not list statement downloads among them.
