SBI Bank Statement Download: YONO, OnlineSBI, SMS and WhatsApp
SBI has more ways to get a statement than any other Indian bank, and each one has its own number, format and password. Here is the exact route for every channel, which statement each one gives you, and what to do when the PDF asks for a password.
Quickest on your phone: open YONO, go to Accounts, pick the account, tap the passbook icon (or View or Download Statement), choose the period and save the PDF. On a computer: log in to OnlineSBI, open My Accounts & Profile, then Account Statement, choose the period by date or by month, and download as PDF or Excel. No app at all: SMS ESTMT <account number> <any 4-digit code> to 917208933145 and a 6-month statement lands in your email, encrypted with the code you chose.
| Channel | What you get | Period | Password? |
|---|---|---|---|
| YONO app | PDF on your phone | 3, 6 or 12 months, or a custom range | Yes: see the SBI password guide |
| OnlineSBI net banking | PDF or Excel, view or print | By date or by month; last 6 months and financial year presets | Yes: usually the account number |
| SMS ESTMT to 917208933145 | PDF emailed to your registered address | Last 6 months (savings accounts) | Yes: the 4-digit code you typed |
| WhatsApp 90226 90226 | Account statement PDF, up to 250 transactions; mini statement of 10 | Recent | Yes |
| Contact Centre 1800 1234 | Statement emailed to your registered address | Recent period | Yes |
| Missed call or SMS MSTMT to 919223766666 | Mini statement by SMS, last 5 transactions | Recent | No |
| Monthly or quarterly e-statement | PDF by email, free | Ongoing | Yes |
| Branch | Printed or stamped statement for any period | Any; ₹100 + GST per page for duplicates on current accounts | No |
Download the statement from the YONO SBI app
The app labels change between releases, but the route is always Accounts, then the account, then the statement.
- Open YONO SBI and log in with your MPIN or internet banking credentials.
- Tap Accounts and select the account you need the statement for.
- Tap the passbook icon, or View or Download Statement on newer releases. On some versions it sits under Transactions or Account Activity.
- Choose the period: the last 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or a custom range.
- Download the PDF, or use Share or Email if the screen offers them.
If YONO will not show the long date range you need, use OnlineSBI instead; the app is the quick route, net banking is the complete one. The PDF is password protected and the format depends on the channel, which is why SBI passwords fail so often; the SBI statement password guide lists every format in the order to try.
Download the statement from OnlineSBI net banking
- Log in at onlinesbi.sbi.bank.in (personal banking may redirect you to the YONO net banking interface; the menu is the same).
- Open My Accounts & Profile, then Account Statement.
- Select the account, then choose the period: By Date with a start and end date, or By Month. Presets for the last six months and the financial year are also offered.
- Choose View, View and Print, or Download in PDF or Excel format, then click Go.
Long statements with more transactions than the screen can show are queued and offered as a pending download. Periods that are no longer available online have to be requested at the branch.
Get a 6-month SBI statement by SMS (ESTMT)
This is SBI Quick, the missed-call and SMS service. It works from any phone, needs no app, and the PDF arrives by email.
- One-time registration: SMS
REG <account number>to 07208933148 from your registered mobile. - Send
ESTMT <account number> <code>to 917208933145, where the code is any 4-digit number of your choice. - SBI emails the last 6 months as a PDF to your registered email address, encrypted with that 4-digit code.
ESTMT is available for savings accounts. If you forget the code, send a new ESTMT with a new code. For a mini statement of the last 5 transactions, give a missed call or SMS MSTMT to 919223766666. Missed calls are free; SMS is charged at your plan’s rate. Older articles still quote 9223866666 and 09223588888; those were SBI Quick’s previous numbers, and the current ones above come from SBI’s own SBI Quick page.
Get the statement on WhatsApp or by phone
- WhatsApp: save +91 90226 90226, send Hi from your registered mobile and complete the OTP check. Under Download Account Statement you can request a deposit or loan account statement as a PDF, up to 250 transactions, and a mini statement of the last 10. SBI charges nothing for WhatsApp banking.
- Contact Centre: call 1800 1234, choose your language, press 1 for Account Balance and Statement, then 2 for Account Statement; it is emailed to your registered address. Press 1 instead for the last 5 transactions by SMS.
Register for free monthly or quarterly e-statements
SBI emails a periodic e-statement, monthly or quarterly, free of charge. To register or change the address, log in to net banking, open Profile, and update your email address (confirmed with your profile password or OTP). You can also make a written request at your branch. The emailed PDF is password protected.
Statement application at the branch, and the charges
For a statement older than what is available online, or a stamped copy for a visa, loan or audit, ask at your home branch with the exact start and end dates; there is no separate application form, a written request with your account number is enough. SBI’s service charges (updated September 2025) list a duplicate statement at ₹100 + GST per page of 40 entries for current accounts, waived on several salary and premium variants, and ₹44 + GST for a statement physically delivered after a phone banking request, while emailed statements are free. Ask the branch for the current figure before ordering a long period.
The ATM only prints a mini statement, and the passbook is a separate, physically updated record, not a statement.
