PNB Bank Statement Download: PNB One, mPassbook, WhatsApp and SMS
Punjab National Bank folded the mPassbook app into PNB One and added statement downloads on WhatsApp, so the old guides are out of date. Here is the current route for each channel, the numbers that still work, and what a duplicate statement costs.
Quickest on your phone: open PNB One, scroll to mPassbook at the bottom of the dashboard, pick the account, set the From and To dates and tap the PDF icon. No app: message +91 92640 92640 on WhatsApp, choose Account Statement and get the last week, month or a custom range as a password-protected PDF. On a computer: internet banking, Accounts, then Account Statement, set the dates and use Download Details As.

Download the statement from PNB One (mPassbook)
The separate PNB mPassbook app was discontinued on 1 December 2023; the feature now lives inside PNB One.
- Open PNB One and log in with your MPIN, or your user ID and password.
- Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard and tap mPassbook.
- Select the account, then set the From Date and To Date with the calendar and search.
- Tap the PDF icon to download the statement to your phone.
The other route is Accounts, then the account, then Statement: choose the period, generate it, and download or email it. Your mobile number must be registered with PNB for either route. The PDF is password protected; the PNB statement password guide gives the formats in the order to try.
Download the statement from internet banking
- Log in to PNB retail internet banking.
- Open Accounts (on some layouts Manage Accounts, or Account Summary) and choose Account Statement.
- Select the account and set Transaction Date From and To.
- Use Download Details As and pick PDF; some layouts also offer CSV, TXT and XLS.
If the portal limits a single request to a few months, run the period in chunks. For a period that is no longer online, request it at the branch.
Get the statement on WhatsApp
PNB added statement downloads to WhatsApp banking in August 2024, which makes it the fastest route without the app.
- Save +91 92640 92640 and send Hi from your registered mobile. Check for the green tick next to Punjab National Bank.
- Choose Account Related Services, then Account Statement.
- Pick the last week, the last month, or a custom date range.
- The statement arrives in the chat as a password-protected PDF.
At launch the custom range was capped at 90 days; PNB has since advertised a 6-month statement on the same channel. WhatsApp banking also gives the balance, the last 5 transactions and an interest certificate, and PNB charges nothing for it.
Register for the free monthly e-statement
- In internet banking: Other Services, then Service Requests, then New Requests, then Email Statement Registration.
- Or by SMS: send
ESTMT <last 4 digits of account> <email ID>to 92640 92640 or 5607040 from your registered mobile. - Or in PNB One under Value Added Services, at any branch, or through the contact centre on 1800 1800 or 1800 2021.
The e-statement is monthly, free, and available on savings, current, OD and CC accounts. Once registered, physical statements stop; duplicates are then a branch request.
Mini statement by SMS or missed call, and the branch charges
- SMS: send
MINSTMT <account number>to 92640 92640 or 5607040 for a mini statement, orBAL <account number>for the balance. Your mobile must be registered at the home branch and an SMS password set in internet banking or PNB One. - Missed call: 1800 180 2223 (toll-free) or +91 120 2303090. PNB’s page describes it as a balance service; it is free, savings and current accounts only, and needs a 45-minute gap between calls from the same number.
- ATM: the Mini Statement option prints the last few transactions.
- Branch: a printed or certified statement for any period. PNB’s service charges list a duplicate statement at ₹100 with the latest balance only, or ₹2 per entry (minimum ₹100, maximum ₹1,000) when previous entries are included; one statement a month is free on current, CC and OD accounts, and statements through the app, internet banking and email carry no charge.
