How to Download Your HDFC Bank Statement

The fastest route is the HDFC Bank app or NetBanking: pick a period, tap Download, and the PDF opens with your Customer ID. Below: every channel HDFC offers, how far back each goes, and what the statement request form is actually for.

Quickest: in the HDFC Bank app, tap Statement on the home screen, then Get Statement, choose a period and tap Download. In NetBanking it is Account Statements then Get Statement. Both give you a password-protected PDF; the password is your Customer ID.

Download the statement from the HDFC Bank app

This is HDFC’s own recommended route and takes under a minute.

  1. Log in to the HDFC Bank app and tap Statement on the home screen.
  2. Tap Get Statement.
  3. Choose a preset statement period, or set a custom date range with the From and To dates.
  4. Tap Download. The PDF saves to your phone.
  5. When you open it, enter your Customer ID (the numeric NetBanking user ID) as the password.

You can pull statements as far back as your account history allows by widening the custom range. On the older version of the app the same route was Statement, then Request Statement, then a duration and format, then Confirm; if that is what you see, you are on the previous release and the steps still work.

Download the statement from NetBanking

Use NetBanking when you want the file on a computer, for example to attach it to a loan application.

  1. Log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking.
  2. On the home page, open the Account Statements section and click Get Statement.
  3. Select the account you want the statement for.
  4. Choose a predefined period or set a custom date range.
  5. Click Download. The file is password-protected; the password is your Customer ID.

If your NetBanking still shows the older menu, the route is Enquire in the left menu, then Download Historical Statement, then the account, period and PDF format. Your Customer ID is shown in the NetBanking dashboard and printed on page one of any earlier statement, and its last three digits appear in the subject line of HDFC’s e-statement emails.

Need the statement as a spreadsheet? Download the PDF and run it through the bank statement converter: one row per transaction, amounts as numbers, ready for filters and formulas.

Get your HDFC statement by email every month

Registering for email statements is free and means you never have to download one again.

  1. Log in to NetBanking and open the Accounts tab.
  2. Under Request, click Email Statement and follow the prompts.
  3. Pick the frequency: HDFC offers daily, weekly or monthly statements for savings and current accounts.

You can also register at a branch by submitting the E-age form, or through Phone Banking after validating your TIN. Emailed statements arrive as password-protected PDFs.

Missed call, WhatsApp and ATM: for recent transactions only

None of these give you a full period statement. For anything you need to submit somewhere, use the app, NetBanking or email.

The HDFC bank statement request form, and the branch

There is no online form to fill in: the download itself is the request. The statement request form people search for is the paper form at the branch, used when you want a printed statement for a period that is no longer available online, or an officially stamped copy. Walk in with your account details, ask for a statement for the period you need, and collect it; monthly statements are handed over at the branch, and quarterly statements are also sent by post. The branch may charge for printed or duplicate statements, so ask before you order a long period.

A separate form, the E-age form, registers you for email statements rather than requesting one.
